    Publish Date: October 22, 2024

SOIL TESTING : As PM SHRI K V NO. 3 PATIALA Selected for soil testing project and under guidance of Ministry of Agricultural department students and guide teachers with the help of agricultural department Patiala collect soil samples from Swajpur Village for testing 14 parameter, which allows students to move beyond theoretical learning and engage in practical, hands-on activities. By collecting soil samples, analysing nutrient content, and interpreting data, students develop a deeper understanding of scientific principles in action. This type of experiential learning fosters curiosity and engagement, which are key components of effective education. Conducting soil tests introduces students to the importance of soil health in maintaining ecosystems, agriculture, and food security. It helps them appreciate the role of soil in supporting plant growth and sustaining life. This activity promotes awareness of environmental sustainability, making students more conscious of land management, soil conservation, and the impact of pollution on soil health. By performing soil tests, students learn essential laboratory techniques, such as measuring pH levels, analysing nutrient content (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), and testing for soil texture and moisture. These skills are directly relevant to careers in agriculture, environmental science, and biology. It teaches students how to collect data accurately, use scientific tools like pH meters and test kits, and record observations, which are vital skills in any scientific discipline. By participating in soil testing, students are better prepared to contribute meaningfully to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices in the future.
